From the imaginative creativity of Beth Brant, we invite you to come prepared for a cold reading and to have at least one song ready to showcase your talent. If you have the confidence to embody one of the beloved characters from Scooby-Doo, don’t hesitate to show it off! We eagerly anticipate your presence and performances!
Characters: (ages are flexible)
Old Fred/Fred’s Dad: (50-80) A silver fox… and he knows it. As Dad he is a businessman. (As needed: doubled up with the ensemble)
Old Shaggy/Shaggy’s Dad: (50-80) An old hippie who runs a beachside restaurant. As Dad, he is an artist. (As needed: Dad & doubled up with the ensemble)
Old Velma/Velma’s Mom: (50-80) Chief of Chicago PD. As Mom is an absent heavy smoker. (As needed: Mom & doubled up with the ensemble)
Old Daphne/Daphne’s Maid: (50-80) Married Fred, blogs about fashion. As Maid is very busy and has errands. (As needed: Maid & doubled up with the ensemble)
Old Scooby: (13-40) Dog, often portrayed on all 4s, but walks and runs on back legs as cartoonishly as possible.

Young Fred: (7-12) (As needed: doubled up with the ensemble)

Amy Boldory/Bloody Mary: (18-30) Quiet teenager with a terrifying fixation with Freddy. Alter ego: Bloody Mary.
Red Herring: (18-30) The school bully, and always Fred’s top suspect.
Principal/Ice Cream Monster: Principal announces prom king & queen. Cameo appearance in Act 2. Requires a tall actor.
