Dinner for One is a comedy sketch written by British author for the theatre. It is the ninetieth birthday of upper-class Englishwoman Miss Sophie. She hosts a dinner every year for her friends Sir Toby, Admiral von Schneider, Mr. Pomeroy, and Mr. Winterbottom. She has outlived all of them, but continues to host the party, pretending her friends are alive and seated round the table.
